The ordinary Business Card shaped CD has a capacity of only about 30MB to 50MB. This can store image data. But in the case of video data, the capacity is sufficient for storing only a few minutes of low quality data.Free Shaped DVD is a DVD with nine times (9 pieces) the capacity of an ordinary Business Card shaped CD in the case of a single layer on a single side and seventeen times (17 pieces) the capacity for a dual layer on a single side.Depending on the shape, shaped DVD can store data from 450MB to 2.66GB, so that high quality video data, which cannot be stored on an ordinary Business Card shaped CD, can be stored for use in sales promotion activities.

The DVD is made of almost the same materials as the CD and its recording method is also almost the same. However, the following differences give the DVD a much larger storage capacity than the CD.
