Having been an active musician since 1966, by 1971 CD replicated discs Jackson Browne still hadn’t released a record, but was regarded
as one of the most gifted singer-songwriters of his generation. This collection of live performances, broadcast on FM
radio, follows Jackson Browne from 1971 to 1976, showcasing his genius and historical performances at The Jabberwocky
where he opened for Bonnie Raitt, and The Main Point where he performed with David Lindley. He finally became a star,
with the release of Late For The Sky in 1974, before his deeply personal follow-up, The Pretender in November 1976, a few
months after his wife’s tragic passing. That same month he recorded a performance for CBS TV’s Soundstage program at
WWTW TV Studios. Featuring material from both albums, and backing from David Lindley and others.
